Next to strength and flexibility most circus disciplines require a lot of technique. Not only to improve efficiency and aesthetics but also in order to prevent and protect from injuries and damage.
In Tim’s classes we will mainly focus on building a solid base – in order to improve steady and safe. Combined exercises that improve flexibility, strength and specific technique (individually depending on our goals) will be the focus of the classes.
What we focus on in Tim’s straps coaching:
-Basic and advanced straps specific strengthening
-Technique exercises & drills working towards a solid meathook & flag – or advanced to static & dynamic switches.
-Spinning techniques
-2 arm techniques such as roll ups, dislocks and spins
Tim Kriegler’s Bio:
I was born and raised in the southern part of Germany where I first began to explore the world of acrobatics in a freetime club for kids.
With the age of 14 I moved to Berlin to follow my dream of being a professional acrobat. I went to attend a professional full time program for aspiring acrobats at Germany’s state acrobatic school (Staatliche Artistenschule Berlin).
After 5 years of intense training, I graduated school with my Aerial Straps act and a professional degree in circus arts (2017). Since then I had the chance to be a part of many international shows & productions. Highlights so far have been a silver medal at the “Festival mondial du Cirque de Demain” in Paris and the New generation Festival of Monte Carlo / Monaco, as well as multiple contracts with the renowned Cirque du Soleil. In addition to the active stage & performing career I started to teach different workshops and classes internationally.
